# Connect Claude to Tesselith

> Add Tesselith to Claude as a custom connector and schedule social posts from claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and Claude on your phone.

Canonical: https://tesselith.com/ai-agents/claude

**Before you start:** You need a Claude account (custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise; Free allows one custom connector) and a Tesselith workspace on Pro, Team or Agency (every new workspace starts with a 14-day Pro trial) with at least one channel connected. Claude connects to Tesselith from Anthropic's cloud, so there is nothing to install on your computer.

## Quick setup

```text
Name:  Tesselith
URL:   https://api.tesselith.com/mcp
```

Leave Authentication on sign-in and the OAuth client on Claude's published identity. Claude finds Tesselith's sign-in automatically.

## Step by step

### 1. Open Customize → Connectors in Claude

On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Customize → Connectors, click + Add and choose Add custom connector. On older versions the same page is under Settings → Connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors first, and each member then clicks Connect.

### 2. Paste the Tesselith server URL

Name it Tesselith, paste the URL and click Continue. Claude detects the authentication settings; keep the recommended options and click Add.

```text
https://api.tesselith.com/mcp
```

### 3. Connect and approve the workspace

Click Connect on the new connector. A Tesselith window opens. Sign in, pick the workspace, untick anything you don't want the agent to do, and click Allow access.

### 4. Turn the connector on in a chat

In a conversation, click + at the bottom left, open Connectors and switch Tesselith on. From the same menu you can turn off individual tools, for example publish_now and delete_post, if you only want drafts and queued posts.

### 5. Ask for your first post

Ask Claude to list your Tesselith channels. If it names your accounts, everything works. Then ask it to queue a draft and open the link it returns to check it in Tesselith.

## Troubleshooting

- **The connector won't connect:** Check the URL is exactly the one above, with https and /mcp. Remove the connector and add it again to restart the sign-in.
- **Free plan won't add a second connector:** Free accounts can add one custom connector. Remove another one, or upgrade your Claude plan.
- **Team member can't see Add custom connector:** On Team and Enterprise only owners can add connectors. Ask an owner to add Tesselith under Organization settings → Connectors, then click Connect.
- **Claude answers without using Tesselith:** The connector isn't switched on in this chat. Click + → Connectors and turn Tesselith on.
- **You need to change the URL or permissions:** Connectors can't be edited in place. Remove it from Customize → Connectors and add it again.

## Questions people ask

### Does Tesselith work in the Claude desktop and mobile apps?

Yes. Connectors belong to your Claude account, so once you add Tesselith on claude.ai or in the desktop app it's available in Claude on your phone too.

### Do I need an API key to connect Claude?

No. Claude signs in with your Tesselith account through OAuth, and you approve the workspace and permissions on a consent screen.

### Will Claude post without asking me?

Claude asks before each tool call unless you choose Allow always. Publishing now and deleting also need an explicit confirmation from Tesselith's side. To keep everything as drafts, untick Schedule and queue on the consent screen.

### Is it safe to use Research mode with Tesselith?

Research mode can call connector tools without asking each time, so turn off the write tools (publish_now, delete_post, schedule_post) in the chat's tools menu first.

### How do I disconnect Claude?

In Tesselith, open Settings → AI assistants and click Disconnect. Access ends on Claude's next request. You can also remove the connector in Claude.
