# Connect OpenClaw to Tesselith

> Add Tesselith to OpenClaw and let your open-source agent plan and schedule social posts.

Canonical: https://tesselith.com/ai-agents/openclaw

**Before you start:** You need OpenClaw 2026.5.8 or later (earlier versions leaked custom headers on redirects) and a Tesselith workspace on Pro, Team or Agency (every new workspace starts with a 14-day Pro trial) with at least one channel connected.

## Quick setup

```bash
# 1. Add the server (set the transport explicitly)
openclaw mcp add tesselith --url https://api.tesselith.com/mcp --transport streamable-http
# 2. Sign in (stop the gateway first)
openclaw gateway stop
openclaw mcp login tesselith
# 3. Check it
openclaw mcp probe tesselith
```

## Step by step

### 1. Add the server

openclaw mcp add writes the server to your config. Set the transport to streamable-http; OpenClaw may otherwise try SSE.

```json
{
  mcp: {
    servers: {
      tesselith: {
        url: "https://api.tesselith.com/mcp",
        transport: "streamable-http",
        auth: "oauth",
        enabled: true,
      },
    },
  },
}
```

### 2. Sign in

Stop the gateway, then run openclaw mcp login tesselith. A Tesselith window opens. Sign in, pick the workspace, untick anything you don't want the agent to do, and click Allow access. If the browser can't reach OpenClaw, use the --code command it prints. In the Control UI, Settings → MCP has a Sign in button too.

### 3. Probe and reload

Run openclaw mcp probe tesselith (or doctor --probe) to check the connection, start the gateway again, and run openclaw mcp reload after config edits.

### 4. Ask OpenClaw

Ask it to list your Tesselith channels, then to draft or queue posts.

## Troubleshooting

- **Fails on connect:** The transport defaulted to SSE. Set transport to streamable-http.
- **mcp login does nothing:** Stop the gateway first with openclaw gateway stop.
- **doctor flags your key:** A literal key in config is flagged. Use OpenClaw's secret mechanism or the browser sign-in.

## Questions people ask

### Can OpenClaw use an API key?

Yes. Set an Authorization header with a Tesselith key in the Control UI under Settings → MCP, ideally through OpenClaw's secret storage.

### Which OpenClaw version do I need?

2026.5.8 or later, which fixed a header leak on cross-origin redirects.
