Schedule social posts from your own code

A REST API for drafts, scheduling, queues, media and analytics, with the same rules as the app. Keys are scoped, every call is logged, and the reference is generated from the code.

Most teams eventually want posting to happen from somewhere other than a dashboard: a CMS publishing an article, a store launching a product, a nightly job announcing a release. Tesselith's REST API at api.tesselith.com/v1 goes through the same service layer as the app. Validation, permissions, posting limits and the audit log all behave the same no matter where a post comes from. Errors are RFC 9457 problem documents with stable codes, every POST takes an Idempotency-Key, and the OpenAPI 3.1 description is generated from the same schemas the server validates against, so the reference can't drift from reality.

01

Everything the composer does

List channels, create and edit drafts, schedule for an exact time, add to the queue, move back to drafts, delete, read and replace posting schedules, upload media by file or URL, and read per-post analytics.

02

Scoped keys, never more than you

Create keys in Settings → Developers with full access, read-only, or exactly the scopes you pick, plus an optional expiry. A key acts as the person who created it, so if their role is narrowed, the key is too. Rotate or revoke in one click.

03

Built for retries

Send an Idempotency-Key on any POST and a retried request returns the original result instead of creating a duplicate post. Rate limits come back in the standard RateLimit headers with Retry-After, so clients back off correctly.

04

Webhooks for the other direction

Subscribe a URL to events like post.published or post.failed and get a signed request seconds after it happens, with automatic retries for about 27 hours. Signatures follow the Standard Webhooks spec.

Questions people ask about rest api

Does Tesselith have a public API?
Yes. The REST API lives at https://api.tesselith.com/v1 with an interactive reference at /v1/docs and an OpenAPI 3.1 document at /v1/openapi.json. Workspace owners and admins create API keys in Settings → Developers.
Can I schedule posts to several networks with one API call?
Yes. A post carries a list of channel ids, so one draft can target Instagram, Threads, Bluesky and every other connected channel. Schedule it for a time or add it to the queue and it publishes everywhere through the same pipeline as the app.
How are API requests rate limited?
Each key gets 120 requests per minute. Every response carries RateLimit and RateLimit-Policy headers, and a 429 includes Retry-After with the seconds to wait.
