Do UTM parameters slow down my page or hurt SEO?

No. UTM parameters only tell your analytics where a visit came from. They don't change how the page loads or how search engines index it.

Which UTM parameters are actually required?

utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign cover the vast majority of use cases. utm_term and utm_content are optional and mainly useful for paid search keywords or A/B testing variants of the same link.

Will these links work the same in Google Analytics and other tools?

Yes. UTM parameters are a shared standard, so Google Analytics and most other analytics tools read a tagged link the same way.
