How to connect Claude Code to Tesselith
Add Tesselith to Claude Code with one command and schedule social posts from your terminal, your repo or a CI job. Claude Code talks to Tesselith’s MCP server, so it can draft, queue and schedule posts on every channel you’ve connected. Keep a human in the loop: publishing now and deleting always ask for your confirmation.
What do I need before connecting?
You need Claude Code installed and a Tesselith workspace on Pro, Team or Agency (every new workspace starts with a 14-day Pro trial) with at least one channel connected. Sign in through your browser for day-to-day use, or use an API key on servers and in CI.

No browser on this machine? Use the API key option further down this page instead.
2 · Ask · live in Tesselith
Ask Claude Code to post for you
Also try:
- “Schedule the release post for tomorrow at 9am New York time.”
- “List my connected Tesselith channels.”
- “What's in the Mastodon queue this week?”

One connection, every channel
Connect your accounts in Tesselith once. From then on Claude Code can plan and schedule for any of them, and Tesselith publishes at the time you set, even after the conversation ends.
How do I connect Claude Code to Tesselith, step by step?
1. Add the server with claude mcp add
Options go before the name and URL. --scope user makes Tesselith available in every project; leave it off to add it to the current project only (stored privately in ~/.claude.json), or use --scope project to write a shared .mcp.json to the repo.
2. Sign in with /mcp
Start Claude Code, run /mcp, select tesselith and choose Authenticate. A Tesselith window opens. Sign in, pick the workspace, untick anything you don't want the agent to do, and click Allow access. You can also run claude mcp login tesselith from the shell, adding --no-browser over SSH to get a link to open elsewhere.
3. Share it with your team (optional)
A project-scoped server lives in .mcp.json at the repo root. Commit it without credentials, and each teammate signs in with their own account. Claude Code asks every person to approve project servers the first time.
4. Check the connection
claude mcp list shows the server and whether it's connected, and /mcp inside a session lists its tools. Ask Claude to list your Tesselith channels to confirm.
Can I use an API key instead of signing in?
On a server or in CI, where nobody can finish a browser sign-in, pass a key as a header. In Tesselith, open Settings → Developers, create an API key and tick only the scopes the agent needs. Keys start with tsl_live_ and are shown once, so store it in your password manager or a secret store. In .mcp.json use ${TESSELITH_API_KEY} so the key itself never lands in git.
What can Claude Code do in Tesselith?
The server at https://api.tesselith.com/mcp exposes these tools. Claude Code only gets the permissions you approve, and never more than your own role.
Why is Claude Code not working with Tesselith?
Almost every failure is one of these. Tesselith returns a readable error, so asking Claude Code“what went wrong?” usually points at the right row.
