How to connect Cline to Tesselith
Add Tesselith to Cline's MCP settings and let Cline draft and schedule social posts from VS Code. Cline talks to Tesselith’s MCP server, so it can draft, queue and schedule posts on every channel you’ve connected. Keep a human in the loop: publishing now and deleting always ask for your confirmation.
What do I need before connecting?
You need the Cline extension, a Tesselith API key and a Tesselith workspace on Pro, Team or Agency (every new workspace starts with a 14-day Pro trial) with at least one channel connected. The API key header is the most reliable way to connect the extension.
1 · Connect · a few minutes
Run this
Always set "type": "streamableHttp". Without it Cline falls back to the older SSE transport.
2 · Ask · live in Tesselith
Ask Cline to post for you
Also try:
- “Queue the draft for tomorrow at 10am.”
- “List my Tesselith channels.”
- “What's scheduled this week?”
The setup at a glance
- Create a Tesselith API key
- Open Cline's MCP settings
- Paste the server and save
- Check the tools
One connection, every channel
Connect your accounts in Tesselith once. From then on Cline can plan and schedule for any of them, and Tesselith publishes at the time you set, even after the conversation ends.
How do I connect Cline to Tesselith, step by step?
1. Create a Tesselith API key
In Tesselith, open Settings → Developers, create an API key and tick only the scopes the agent needs. Keys start with tsl_live_ and are shown once, so store it in your password manager or a secret store.
2. Open Cline's MCP settings
In the Cline panel, click the MCP Servers icon, open the Configure tab and click Configure MCP Servers.
3. Paste the server and save
Add the entry above with your key and save. Cline connects automatically.
4. Check the tools
Tesselith's tools appear in the MCP panel. Ask Cline to list your channels. Keep autoApprove limited to read-only tools.
What can Cline do in Tesselith?
The server at https://api.tesselith.com/mcp exposes these tools. Cline only gets the permissions you approve, and never more than your own role.
Why is Cline not working with Tesselith?
Almost every failure is one of these. Tesselith returns a readable error, so asking Cline“what went wrong?” usually points at the right row.
