How to connect Gemini CLI to Tesselith
Add Tesselith to Gemini CLI and schedule social posts from your terminal with Google's Gemini. Gemini CLI talks to Tesselith’s MCP server, so it can draft, queue and schedule posts on every channel you’ve connected. Keep a human in the loop: publishing now and deleting always ask for your confirmation.
What do I need before connecting?
You need Gemini CLI installed and a Tesselith workspace on Pro, Team or Agency (every new workspace starts with a 14-day Pro trial) with at least one channel connected.
1 · Connect · a few minutes
Run this
2 · Ask · live in Tesselith
Ask Gemini CLI to post for you
Also try:
- “List my Tesselith channels.”
- “What's scheduled tomorrow?”
- “Draft posts for every channel announcing our webinar.”
The setup at a glance

- Ask Gemini
One connection, every channel
Connect your accounts in Tesselith once. From then on Gemini CLI can plan and schedule for any of them, and Tesselith publishes at the time you set, even after the conversation ends.
How do I connect Gemini CLI to Tesselith, step by step?
1. Add the server
-s user saves it to ~/.gemini/settings.json for every project; without it, it's saved to the current project's .gemini/settings.json.
2. Sign in with /mcp auth
Start gemini and run /mcp auth tesselith. A Tesselith window opens. Sign in, pick the workspace, untick anything you don't want the agent to do, and click Allow access.
3. Check it's connected
Run /mcp. Tesselith should show as CONNECTED with its tools. Outside a session, gemini mcp list does the same.
4. Ask Gemini
Ask Gemini to list your Tesselith channels, then to draft or queue a post. It confirms each tool call unless you trust the server.
Can I use an API key instead of signing in?
For headless runs, pass a key as a header. In Tesselith, open Settings → Developers, create an API key and tick only the scopes the agent needs. Keys start with tsl_live_ and are shown once, so store it in your password manager or a secret store.
What can Gemini CLI do in Tesselith?
The server at https://api.tesselith.com/mcp exposes these tools. Gemini CLI only gets the permissions you approve, and never more than your own role.
Why is Gemini CLI not working with Tesselith?
Almost every failure is one of these. Tesselith returns a readable error, so asking Gemini CLI“what went wrong?” usually points at the right row.
